The idea for the site when I first saw it was posted in rec.autos.makers.vw.aircooled the Summer of 2002. Having recently trolled that newsgroup for help with my vehicle I found it one of the more well managed and knowledgeable groups around - in addition to being downright friendly. I still post occasionally and read always - look for 'knt' asking silly questions about a Type 2.
